It can be tempting to put off making your will until later in life, either due to the worry of the expense, or because you don’t want to deal with it. However making a will does not have to be expensive or time consuming. Plus the sooner you make one, the more financially beneficial it will be for those you leave behind as they’ll pay less inheritance tax.
Wills: the Lowdown
There are a number of things to consider when making a will; what provisions do you want to make for your loved ones? How will you divide your estate, finances and assets? The process and preparation of the will should be handled by a specialist to ensure that your family, and not the State, benefits as much as possible after your death.
